About Me

Hi!

I’m Sami, and I do a lot of things.

I am currently in my first semester of my Honours degree in Computer Science at the University of Adelaide. I am passionate about volunteering, education, and encouraging women to enter STEM fields.

Some of the things I get up to include: volunteering with Robogals or Compass; teaching first year students; promoting Google opportunities around campus; facilitating PASS study sessions; volunteering at faculty outreach events; or being a “Networks” peer mentor.

Outside of university, I also volunteer with the South Australian State Emergency Service, both as a rescue member and as a promotional member. I have completed two internships with Google Australia, and currently provide technical support to a small business.

Aside from the above, I enjoy playing netball, roller skating, working on personal projects, playing board games, and going out for dessert.
